Arrests in Dexter vs. St. Louis

In Dexter, MO this week a man was arrested for Burglary and Property Damage.  Here’s the article on Cape Girardeau KFVS-12 Web Site.  See his name and picture.  I’m surprised to see his name since he is under 18, but I don’t know the laws or media standards for releasing such information.  There’s no commentary or insinuated relation to his political or employment activities

In St. Louis, MO a few weeks ago, a man was arrested for Burglary and Arson and the St. Louis Post Dispatch duly reported the facts.  Note that the name of the man arrested was not disclosed and his age is not listed.  There is rampant insinuation of the relation of Carnahan’s political campaign.

Both men are innocent until proven guilty.

What’s the difference?

Jeremy Schmidt is a 17-Year-Old KID!

Chris Powers, a 50-Year-Old-Man implicated in the Carnahan firebombing is a DEMOCRAT political operative who verbally abused many town-hall attendees in August 2009.

Must be nice to have the Democrat Political Machine, the St. Louis newspapers, St. Louis television stations, and Democrat prosecutors protecting the privacy of the arrestees.

In good-ole Cape Girardeau, they get to the point.

Fire The Laser!!

I can’t hear the word ‘laser’ without thinking about Dr. Evil yelling, “Fire The Laser!”

Well, the Navy has done it.  Conveniently released shortly before the Chinese announced the creation of a carrier killer missile, the U.S. Navy revealed, back in May, that it had successfully splashed an aircraft using a laser (estimated power of 50kw).

The article from CrunchGear.com reports this on July 20 and shortly thereafter the Chinese announced their carrier killer on August 5th.

Sounds like the U.S. Armed Forces knew the Chinese announcement was coming and quietly released the laser success.  Every time I hear about the latest scary weapon from the Soviets, I mean Russians, and the Chinese, I remind myself of a few things:

  • We have TV shows about Future Weapons.
  • Our Future Weapons are generally better than the best the enemy has.
  • We have secret programs that have created the next generation of weapons that are not declassified for use on the Future Weapons show
  • We have even more clandestine programs creating future generations of such weapon

There are very few things that the U.S. Government does right, but one of them is to allow the military to build weapons to protect ourselves and our armed forces.
