Candidate Seletor Quiz

03 Jan

In 2008, I had a close family member take an on-line quiz to help her base her vote on the issues.  The quiz said, based on her answers, that she should vote for McCain.  She voted for Obama anyway… …and has been summarily disowned (j/k).

So, I started looking for candidate selector quizzes for the 2012 Presidential Primaries.  I will post them here with a bit of information about the creator as I find them:

SelectSmart

Based on the wording of the questions, I could tell that the the quiz was created by a progressive, and Curt Anderson, the creator of this quiz, is a self-proclaimed liberal.  However, the results did come out as I expected

Here and here are a couple of articles on the author.

OnTheIssues

The editor-in-chief of this site and quiz is Jesse Gordon and the site tells us:

Our mission is to provide non-partisan information for voters in the Presidential election, so that votes can be based on issues rather than on personalities and popularity.  We get our information daily from newspapers, speeches, press releases, and the Internet — it is a labor-intensive process that requires countless volunteer hours.

Clearly, Mr. Gordon is another progressive, but again, the quiz came out as I expected

This is just a starter for this post; I will update it as I run across more quizzes
