Presidential Gall

To my Democrat-voting friends,

Please.  Tell me how you vote for such a hypocrite.  Watch this man’s absolute insolence at 2:06.  Clearly he even has a problem with the number of kids the man has.  Will Chinese style eugenics be next on the list?

Thank you to the Don Smith Show for exposing this hypocrisy!

Petraeus To The CIA

What a difference a boss makes.

General Petraeus, heroic architect of the victory in Irag, is now moving to lead the CIA… …as glowingly reported by the New York Times.

But, under the employ of George W. Bush, General Petraeus was blasted in the infamous MoveOn.org ad “General Betray Us”.  The NYT even gave a 55% discount to the MoveOn.org that was not in line with their policies.

h/t NYT / BareNakedIslam

How will Hillary Clinton be able to work with someone who requires a “willing suspension of disbelief” when testifying in Congress.  How will she question him at length as to why they haven’t located Osama Bin Laden (then 6) now 10 years since the 9/11 attacks?

h/t NY Sun

But, just like if you want to find a racist pastor, all you have to do is follow Obama to church… …if you want to find a hypocrite, talk to a Liberal.

Now, he’s all okee-dokee because the Liberals are in charge.

Still A Jackass

If you hadn’t noticed, or maybe you forgot, Kanye West is still a Jackass!  On a telethon in 2005, West famously accused George Bush of ‘hating black people’ for not interfering with rushing down to view, first-hand, the hurricane Katrina clean-up.

President Bush lamented in his memoir and in interview about the low-point of his Presidency being this accusation of racism from Kanye West.

West, in a response interview, lamented that he could feel Bush’s pain because he too had been accused of being a racist for his rant during the 2009 VMA’s.

“With him, it was a lack of compassion of him not rushing, him not taking the time to rush down to New Orleans. For me, it was a lack of compassion of cutting someone off in their moment. But nonetheless, I think we’re all quick to pull a race card in America. And now I’m more open, and the poetic justice that I feel, to have went through the same thing that he went [through]—and now I really more connect with him on just a humanitarian level.”
No, Kanye.  Wrong again.
.
President Bush was reacting properly by staying out of the way.
.
You, however, are simply a Jackass.  You were in 2005; you were in 2009.  And, keeping your reign in 2010 seems to be in the cards.  Maybe you should highlight the year by replacing your teeth with diamonds — oh wait, been there done that.
.
President Bush has class.
.
You’re klassy.

Unemployment Rate Recalc

Last week, the Federal Government announced (via Kansas City Star et al) that the Unemployment Rate stayed the same at 9.6%, but the economy shed another 95,000 jobs.  Over the years, I asked, “How would the rate stay the same when we lost that many jobs?”  But, I had never done the math.  So, let’s do the math.

According to the report, there are 14.8 Million Unemployed Job Hunters out there which makes up 9.6% of the people who ‘want’ jobs.  So, a quick calc shows that there are 154,166,666 in the Job Wanters pool (14,800,800 / .096).

Also in the report, we are told that 1.2 Million quit looking for work / went off the rolls.  Well, they’re still unemployed aren’t they.  So, just for giggles, let’s pretend that the government wants to talk about ‘real numbers’ and add that 1.2 Million back into the mix.

We now have 16,000,000 Unemployed in a pool of 155,366,666 Job Wanters.  Calculating that ratio, we end up with an unemployment rate of…

10.3%

Now, had this been a Republican (or Bush) Administration, the Main Stream Media would have been happy to calculate and report this for you.  But since the Democrats are ‘ruling‘, we’ll have to do our own math.  Good thing I paid attention in 5th Grade Fractions.

Blame It On Bush: Recession Ended In June 2009

In Yahoo News today, according to economic experts at the National Bureau of Economic Research, the recession ended just 5 months into the Obama Administration Bush-blame-a-thon.  So, can we assume the Obama Administration will blame the Bush (and Democrat Congress) Policies of massive corporate crony bail-outs for the end of the Recession.

Wanna buy a bridge?

(h/t itsmypub.wordpress.com)

But since he blamed Bush for the Recession and everything else bad that happened in the first two years of the Obama Administration, it’s only appropriate to continue to blame that Administration for the status of the economy!

I hear the spin machines whirring at the Whitehouse as I type… “…only the aggressive efforts of this Administration have brought the greatest Recession since the Great Depression to an abrupt halt…”

Hooey!

If the status of the economy is Bush’s fault at the end of 2009 and beginning of 2010, then the end of the Recession in June 2009 is his fault too.

Way to go George?  Nice bailouts.

(tongue firmly in cheek)

Whoops: Obama Warns that Republican Policies Will Improve The Economy!

In an interview on “The Tom Joyner Morning Show”, Obama attempted to rally the troops, the blacks, to be fired-up for the November 2010 election.  I won’t discuss the racist nature of his attempt to fire-up African-Americans to work against Republicans.  The deafening cries of “Rasicst!!” would have drowned out the sights and sounds of the Daytona 500 had George Bush made such a statement.

But, when you take Obama’s statement literally, he actually says that the Republican Policies are where he wants us to be:

“And we could end up slipping back into the same situation that we were in before this recession hit, only worse.”

Well, the situation when the Democrats took over Congress in 2007 and before this recession hit in 2008 was:

  • A DOW at $12,621.77
  • GDP of 3.5%
  • Unemployment Rate of 4.6%.
  • The number of jobs increasing
  • National Debt of about $8.0 Trillion

Again, that seems like the good-old-days, and we Conservatives were already unhappy with the Republicans and their big-spending nature.

Don’t know if President Obama’s statement was intentional or a Freudian slip, but it seems that he did speak the truth!

Saddam Is Back and Talking About 8/28

Just a quick reminder to all the folks in the middle-of-the-road… …our Commander In Chief who last night declared the end of Combat Operations in Iraq… …would have preferred that Saddam Hussein still be the dictator of that country.  Obama campaigned for the Presidency on the “I was against the war” mantra, and many on the left voted for him partially or wholly because of that declaration.

Had Obama gotten his way Saddam Hussein would still be the local tyrant, still be boiling Anthrax, still trying to acquire nuclear technology, still lying about his activities, and still running the rape rooms (maybe it’s not rape rape).

Libya would not have given up its clandestine biological weapons program.

The U.S. Armed Forces located and shipped 500 Tons of yellow cake Uranium back to the States (ignored by the state-run-media).  And again, most of the left-wing media ignored the hundreds of ricin tipped rockets as they declared ‘no weapons of mass destruction’ were found in Iraq.

Had Obama gotten his way there would have been no surge, and our troops would be under the deadly pre-surge conditions with about 100 deaths per month.

Obama could not have been more wrong about what to do in Iraq.  Thank God he’s following the Bush surge strategy in Afghanistan (even though he won’t admit it won the war in Iraq).

But, one area where Obama got it right… …he scheduled his speech 3 days after the amazing Glenn Beck 8/28 event.  As we watch the news cycle the morning after Obama’s speech… …nary a mention of Beck’s event.

Obama may not know anything about foreign policy and how to win the war, but he sure knows how to control the American media (including Fox).
