Only In New America

Received via e-mail:

UAFF.us

1) Only in the New America could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country’s Constitution be thought of as “extremists.”

2) Only in the New America could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when we have a black President, a black Attorney General, and roughly 18% of the federal workforce is black while 12% of the population is black.

3) Only in the New America could we have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner, the head of the Treasury Department and Charles Rangel who once ran the Ways and Means Committee, BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.

4) Only in the New America can we have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.

5) Only in the New America would we make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege while we discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just become American citizens.

6) Only in the New America could rich politicians talk about the greed of the rich job creators at a $25,000 a plate campaign fund raising event.

7) Only in the New America could you need to present a driver’s license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.

8) Only in the New America could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).

9) Only in the New America could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a trillion dollars more than it has per year for total spending of $7 million PER MINUTE … and complain that it doesn’t have nearly enough money.

10) Only in the New America could the rich folks who pay 86% of all income taxes be accused of not paying their “fair share” by the increasing percentage of people (47%) who pay NO income taxes at all.

Typical Leftist Women’s Hypocrisy

Leftist women across the country are capitalizing on faux outrage against Rush Limbaugh for his comments about the discredited Sandra Fluke… …who somehow needs $3,000 per year for Contraception but doesn’t fit the adjective “promiscuous” …the definition for slut.

They ignore Bill Maher, Ed Shultz, and Keith Olbermann’s far more egregious verbal assault on Conservative Women such as Sarah Palin and Laura Ingraham.  But, say a few inappropriate words about poor Sandra Fluke (who is indeed prostituting herself to the leftist assault on religious freedom), and the bras are getting burned once again.

In today’s Southeast Missourian, the story describes two unnamed women’s groups that dropped petitions and toilet paper rolls at House Speaker Stephen Tilley’s office in protest of Rush Limbaugh.  The leftist state run Associated Press certainly wouldn’t want to name the groups, so real news reporters could follow up.

We all know this.  When the bust of Rush Limbaugh is placed among Missouri’s celebrities, we can count on leftist scum to deface it in the same way Occupy St. Louis defaced local landmarks.

But, what will they do with the bust of David Rice Atchison?

h/t house.mo.govAs typical with short-sighted liberal progs, they ignore the history of certain Missouri Hall of Fame members.

Atchison is best known for the claim that for one day (March 4, 1849) he may have been Acting President of the United States.”

But the larger part of his life was spent as a rabid,”prominent pro-slavery activist and Border Ruffian leader, deeply involved with violence against abolitionists and other free-staters during the ‘Bleeding Kansas‘ events.”

Of course, the Hall of Famous Missourians page for Atchison omits that part of the story.

“As a Senator, Atchison was a fervent advocate of slavery and territorial expansion. He supported the annexation of Texas and the U.S.-Mexican War. Atchison and Missouri’s other Senator, the venerable Thomas Hart Benton, became rivals and finally enemies. Benton declared himself to be against slavery in 1849, and in 1851 Atchison allied with the Whigs to defeat Benton for re-election.”

“Atchison proposed that the [Kansas/Nebraska] area be organized and that the section of the Missouri Compromise banning slavery there be repealed in favor of popular sovereignty, under which the settlers in each territory would decide themselves whether slavery would be allowed.”

“At Atchison’s request, Senator Stephen Douglas of Illinois introduced the Kansas-Nebraska Act, which embodied this idea, in November 1853. The Act became law in May 1854, establishing the Territories of Kansas and Nebraska.”

So ladies, where are the petitions and toilet paper bombs being delivered to decry the inclusion of this racist pro-slavery U.S. Senator in the Missouri Hall of Fame?  Where’s the outrage?

Well, Atchison is a Democrat, so we can count on your typical leftist double standard justifying his behavior because he’s on your side.  We’ll expect to see his bust being adorned with gardenias and roses while your thugs defecate on Rush’s.

How any reasonable Missourian can vote with the Democrat party and it’s advancement of Infanticide, Racism, Misogyny, Double Standards and it’s attacks at the very heart of the Constitution is beyond me.

12 Reasons To Vote Democrat

Via E-Mail…h/t examiner.com

When your family or friends cannot explain why they voted Democrat, give them this list. Then they can pick a reason from this “TOP 12″…

1. I voted Democrat because I believe oil company’s profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.

2. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

3. I voted Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

4. I voted Democrat because I’m too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

5. I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can’t tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don’t start driving a Prius.

6. I voted Democrat because I’m not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

7. I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education and Social Security benefits, and we should take away Social Security from those who paid into it.

8. I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves.

They need to break even and give the rest to the government for redistribution as they see fit.

9. I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe organization who would never get their agenda past the voters.

10.. I voted Democrat because I think that it is better to pay billions to people who hate us for their oil, but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, gopher or fish.

11. I voted Democrat because while we live in the greatest, most wonderful country in the world, I was promised “HOPE AND CHANGE”.

12. I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my butt, it’s unlikely that I’ll ever have another point of view.

Outrage A Fluke; Hypocrisy Real

Warning: Uncensored Language.

Betty Ann McCaskill, Claire’s Momma, was so outraged at Rush Limbaugh’s verbal abuse of Sandra Fluke that she… …she… …asked for money. “Now he’s made me mad!” said she.  So buck up $5.00 and she’ll rid the world of the Republican War On Women.  Republican War On Women?

You mean Bill Maher, the Democrat voter, who called Sarah Palin a cunt and a dumb twat.  Momma McCaskill, will you forward me your letter of outrage when your favorite Liberal misogynist verbally abused a wildly popular Governor.  Are you going to raise money to stop Bill Maher’s Democrat “war on women”?

Or, how about Ed Schultz, the Democrat voter, who called Laura Ingraham a talk slut?  Please forward me your letter of outrage railing against MSNBC and “his out-of-control nasty mouth”.

Here’s the latest Democrat prostitution of a woman to raise money and fortify their power:

Don’t Let Republicans Wage War on Women – Click Here to Contribute [link removed]

Now he’s made me mad.

Rush Limbaugh has never been someone I paid much attention to. But you can’t call my daughter, or any woman, that!

When Rush Limbaugh attacked my daughter and law student Sandra Fluke last week, I saw red. I feel for that young lady’s mother. But I bet she’s proud of her daughter’s willingness to stand up for her rights.

Somebody please send me a link where Rush Limbaugh “attacked my daughter”.  I’ve searched the Interwares and nada example I find.

Can you give $5 to help fight back against Rush and his anti-women assault? [link removed]

I have been working for women’s rights all my life, and brought up my three daughters and a son to believe that every human being deserves respect, dignity, and equality.

And at 83, I can honestly say that I’ve seen real change when it comes to women’s rights. But in the last few weeks it has become obvious that some want to walk back the progress women have made in this country.

Rush Limbaugh and his out-of-control nasty mouth is part of the problem. But it is much bigger than even his mouth.

Please don’t let the Republicans have their

way on this. Don’t let them wage war on women.

Show them that we know how to defeat them by making a contribution to Claire’s campaign today. [link removed]

Nothing will bother this old boys club more than a strong independent thinker like Claire being reelected.

I thought after 40 years of progress this wouldn’t be an issue any more. Unfortunately, it seems that I’ve thought too highly of Republican Party leaders.

Please help Claire put these anti-women Republicans in their place with a $5 contribution:

This is an incredibly important moment for women, and we need you on our side.

Thank you for your continued support of my daughter,

Betty Anne McCaskill

Claire, you and your Momma feign outrage; we know it’s just a fluke.  But your hypocrisy is fully transparent and real.  Of course, I doubt there’s a Conservative within earshot of the Internet that believes that you actually penned that letter.

Clearly the vile Bill Maher, Ed Schultz and The View, supporters of Democrats, represent the views of Missourians, so we should certainly re-elect you to the Senate.

The Day The Democrats Took Over

I’ve been arguing what is written below (received via e-mail and edited) since President Obama took office, but my thoughts are well-crystallized here:

The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009 (the inauguration of President Obama), it was actually January 3rd 2007, the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate at the very start of the 110th Congress.
The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s fault”, think about these facts.  On, January 3rd, 2007, the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress:

  • The Dow Jones closed at 12,621.77 (Incredibly as of this writing it is now on the verge of 13,000)
  • The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%.
  • The unemployment rate was 4.6%.
  • George Bush’s economic policies had set a record of 52 straight months of job creation!

Remember that day…

January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.

The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?  BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!

THANK YOU DEMOCRATS (especially Barney Frank) for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment … to this crisis by (among many other things) dumping $5-6 TRILLION of toxic loans on the economy from your Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac cronies!

By the way, Bush asked Congress 17 times to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.  Barney blocked it and called it a “Chicken Little Philosophy” – and then the sky did fall!  He wanted to roll the dice.

And who took the third highest pay-off from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?  OBAMA did!

And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?  OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially Barney!

So when someone tries to blame Bush … …remember January 3rd, 2007… …THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!
Bush may have been in the car, but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and steering wheel and they were driving the economy into the ditch.

Budgets are not passed by the White House. They are passed by Congress and the party that has controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 and 2009 as well as 2010 and 2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For 2009, though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office.

At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budget.

And where was Barack Obama during this time?

He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009. Let’s remember what the deficits looked like during that period:

  • If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending.
  • After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself..

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is “I inherited a deficit that I voted for, and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.”

34 Facts On The Debt

h/t http://conservativeblogscentral.blogspot.com

Today is the 1000th day since the Democrat-controlled Senate passed a budget.  Obama’s last budget was voted down 97-0.  Democrats have absolutely failed in leadership as the debt goes up:

The U.S. government’s debt is bad. How bad? It’s so bad that liberals don’t even pretend to have an answer any more. They used to shrug it off. “We’ll grow our way our of it.” In a recovery this weak? With 8.5% unemployment? They know better.

But Congress does nothing about this. It has no intention of doing anything.

#1 During fiscal year 2011, the U.S. government spent 3.7 trillion dollars but it only brought in 2.4 trillion dollars.

#2 When Ronald Reagan took office, the U.S. national debt was less than 1 trillion dollars.  Today, the U.S. national debt is over 15.2 trillion dollars.

#3 During 2011, U.S. debt surpassed 100 percent of GDP for the first time ever.

#4 According to Wikipedia, the monetary base “consists of coins, paper money (both as bank vault cash and as currency circulating in the public), and commercial banks’ reserves with the central bank.”  Currently the U.S. monetary base is sitting somewhere around 2.7 trillion dollars.  So if you went out and gathered all of that money up it would only make a small dent in our national debt.  But afterwards there would be no currency for anyone to use.

Unemployment Benefits Stimulate The Economy — Not So Much

The knee-jerk and common sense reaction — to Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat’s claim that Unemployment Payments stimulate the economy — is, correctly, to roll your eyes and assert that it is nothing more than a politically motivated claim.

h/t cascadepolicy.org

A few short years ago, in 2004-2005, the Democrats were complaining about how bad the situation was for the unemployed under President Bush when the Unemployment Rate was 4% – 5% — not the 9% – 10% under the Obama regime.  That visit to the history books alone answers the question as to whether or not the claim of its stimulative affect is ideologically motivated.

But, alas, a good Conservative / Tea Partier wants the facts, and here are a slew of them from the Cascade Policy Institute — Oregon’s Premier Policy Think Tank.

Here’s the scoop on the stimulative negative affect of Unemployment Insurance.

Dodd-Frank Bares Its Ugly Head

My son heads off for college this Saturday, and yesterday we visited the Regions bank in Jackson, MO to open a new checking account with debit card.  As we were going through the process, Jessica, the personal banker warned us about the impending $4.00 per month service charge that Visa would be adding to our bill starting in October 2011.

The service charge will be added if, during a given month, I use my Debit Card for a general purchase at Wal-Mart, the Gas Station, or at a local Restaurant.  I do that practically every day.

Why the new service charge? The costs incurred because of the Dodd-Frank Financial Regulation Bill.

Gee.  Thanks guys.

h/t http://blog.registeredrep.com

Two men that should be in jail for the Countrywide and Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac scandals created 2,319 pages of legislation that does nothing to protect America from the real causes of the 2008 financial meltdown.

No one has gone to jail; no one has lost their jobs; all the bankers are getting their massive bonuses.

But, you and I, we get to pay more account fees and service charges.

Bend over America; it’s just another way the Democrats and Obama have screwed you!
