Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Biblical Cudgel

A commentary on this, the stupidest tweet of December 2018, which sadly, will be followed by an even stupider tweet…

As seen on the Internet…

She is a blithering, clueless idiot. I am just as fascinated (analogous to watching a train wreck) by the spectacular idiocy of the district that elected this glittering jewel of colossal ignorance as I am a political party that elevates and celebrates this piece of work.

All of that said, I have heard this Jesus was a refugee assertion from scripture many times as not only a justification for open borders, but used as cudgel to beat those who disagree. As one would expect, I have heard this many times before this now semi famous tweet, given the fact the Congress Woman elect is clearly incapable of an original thought. Just as often, actually more so, I have heard Matthew 25:35-40 used as a proof text for unsustainable (usually socialist) government programs like Medicare for all.

For almost 20 years of ordination I have been confronted with the stupidity of those who want to rip what they want the Bible to say from any possible defensible exegesis or hermeneutic. I have absolutely no problem with someone who sees or interprets scripture differently than I do. In fact, I have learned to benefit greatly from those with whom I most disagree theologically. This kind of utter nonsense is insufferable.

I have no tolerance for unbelieving socialists like the jackass Congress woman elect who wants to use the Bible as a weapon when they otherwise have contempt for the Bible and even more contempt for those who seek to live by the authority of Scripture.

Just once, I would like to see an otherwise unsuspecting TV host turn to an idiot like this and say something like, “I appreciate that you hold the Bible in high enough esteem to impose your theological point of view on the rest of us. Given your point of view that public policy and moral authority should be in fidelity with the Bible, I trust that you oppose gay marriage given Romans 1:26-27. I fully expect that you are pro life given the words of Jeremiah 1:5. However, I am a bit confused given your socialist leanings. Can you help me reconcile the authority you see in Matthew 25:35-40 with what is written in Matthew 7:15-24; especially as these words inform your own Christian faith and practice?”

Just once, I would like to see that scene unfold when one of these socialists start quoting scripture.

Like This..

Another Day; Another Fake News Confirmation

President Trump has destroyed the credibility of the American left-wing ‘news’ cartel, and today we have yet another confirmation that it is nothing more than Fake News.

The ‘Honorable’ Representative Maxine Waters in a psychotic tirade called on Democrats to publicly harass members of the Trump administration.

So, naturally the mainstream media covered the event with ferocity.  A search of the top news sites (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN) revealed that… …absolutely none of them covered this outrageous call for attack on fellow citizens:

Maxine - 01

Maxine - 02Maxine - 03Maxine - 04

It’s not just when that actually make up stories… …it’s what they don’t report

Liberal Logic du Jour – 02/20/13

So, my Democrat friends, I understand this to be your stance:

  • A woman has the right to play Terminator with a living unborn human being
  • A woman does NOT have the right to shoot the balls off some guy that’s trying to rape her.

Got it.

Bus Tour Supporting Ice Cream Tax Increase Rolls Into Cape Girardeau

Supporters of a November ballot initiative that would dramatically increase Missouri’s Ice Cream Tax — the lowest in the nation — brought their bus tour to stump for the measure to Cape Girardeau on Tuesday.

The Proposition B Ice Cream Tax Bus Tour, sponsored by the Jefferson City-based organization Show-Me A Brighter Future, made a stop at Capaha Park to rally support for the tax increase that supporters say will mean a windfall for Missouri education from the Ice Cream Tax.

h/t semissourian.com

Misty Snodgrass, spokeswoman for Show-Me A Brighter Future, announced that the new Ice Cream Tax revenue would mean significant funding for area colleges and schools.

“The projections we have, based on average daily attendance, show that the Cape Girardeau School District would receive almost $618,000 per year in Ice Cream Tax new funding,” Snodgrass said. “Jackson would receive about $717,000. Southeast Missouri State University would receive $4.3 million, and Three Rivers Community College would get $430,000. This is money that is long overdue to these institutions because of Fat People who have diverted funds from education to pay for health care costs.”

Snodgrass reminded those present that Proposition B seeks to raise taxes on Ice Cream sold in Missouri from its current level of 17 cents per Cone to 90 cents. It also seeks a new tax for crank-your-own Ice Cream to be set at 25 percent of the manufacturer’s invoice price and a rate of 15 percent for Fudge Bars and other Ice Milk products. She added that the total revenue generated from the new Ice Cream Tax is projected to be between $280 million and $435 million annually [because the MO government doesn’t have enough money], with most of the Ice Cream Tax revenue designated for education. Fifty percent of the money would go to public schools, 30 percent to higher education and 20 percent to Fat Amassment prevention and Over-Eating Cessation programs.

“It’s time for Fat People to contribute their fair share,” she said. “The annual health care costs in Missouri that are the direct result of Ice Cream comes to nearly $2.13 billion. Medicaid costs, funded by the taxpayers, comes to nearly $532 million. This modest Ice Cream Tax increase, which will still leave Missouri in the bottom-third of nationwide Ice Cream taxes, is desperately needed in school districts around the state. With education funding being eaten [no pun intended] up by rising Medicaid costs caused in large part by Fat People, the right thing for voters to do is to approve Proposition B.”

Darah Jirkovsky. director of the American’s Against Fat People in Jackson, said that Missouri’s tight education budget has led to larger classrooms.

“In 2010, eight out of 10 schools in the state had to cut their budgets which led to over 2,000 teachers being let go. The result was larger classrooms and teachers strained to the limit. Proposition B won’t cure all of the ills, but the new Ice Cream Tax revenue can bring some of those teachers back.”

Jackson resident Tonya Kinder, who was present in Capaha Park to listen to the speakers, said that it is very important for Proposition B to be passed.

“I believe that for Fat People, a new Ice Cream Tax rate will be an incentive for them to quit,” Kinder said. “Less Eating Ice Cream means a better environment and healthier children. I just hope the Ice Cream Tax money goes to where it’s needed most.”

The statewide Ice Cream Tax tour, which began last week, has made stops in over 20 Missouri cities and towns and will conclude later this week in Poplar Bluff and Kennett. Roy Temple, liberal Missouri politics blogger and campaign director for Proposition B, said he’s confident that the tour will be a deciding factor when voters go to the polls in November.

“Two similar measures have lost by extremely close margins in the past,” Temple said, “but they were geared to Medicaid funding, not education. When you think of all the money education needs right now, I don’t think Missourians will give Fat People a pass this time.”

However, opposition to Proposition B was also visible in Capaha Park. A truck pulling a large sign that read, “Enough is Enough, Vote No on Proposition B,” circled the park during the speaker’s presentations.

….

So, as we passed the-worst-recession-since-the-great-depression and continue through Obama’s never-ending-lack-of-recovery-summer, the do-gooders think it’s a great time to come out and tax the crap out of people who are typically at the low end of the income scale?!?  Great idea!  Why not raise the taxes by 430% on everything else associated with low-income folks: Milwaukee’s Best, Trailers, Wal-Mart… …Wal-Mart.

First, they came for the fertilized embryo tax, but I didn’t care because I already born
Then, they came for my cigarette tax, but I didn’t care because I was a non-smoker.
Then, they came for the Ice Cream tax and it was too late, all the other taxes were already raised

Akin: Another Snare Drum In Left’s Anti-Free Market Drumbeat

The left-wing media is all a-twitter over comments made by Todd Akin regarding equal pay for women in the workplace. Of course, the left ignores reality and facts in their latest emotion-based legislation, so they can use it as a drumbeat to attack Conservative candidates and falsify their headlines.

When asked if women should make the same salary as men, Todd simply makes the most correct and obvious answer that a free-market transaction between two parties should decide the rate at which a given person is paid, and THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD STAY OUT OF IT!

Here’s one of the articles.

Look at this example.  Sally and Julia take the same administrative HR job with Acme, Inc.  All other things being equal, Sally chooses not to have children, averages 42 hours of work per week and misses an average of 2 days per year above her scheduled vacation.  Julia has three children, averages 35 hours per week and misses 13 days per year above her scheduled vacation.

Does the left really believe that the Federal Government should tell the business to pay Sally and Julia at the same rate?  Why does it matter when Sally is Stan?  How is that any different?

But that’s just it.  The Left doesn’t believe in the Free-Market, just like the Left doesn’t believe in Freedom.

Vote Conservative!

Rience Priebus Is Such A…

Pardon my language here, but Rience Priebus is such a PUSSY!

When Soledad O’Brien asked him if Clinton could do alot of damage to Romney/Ryan, the answer is:

Bill Clinton, in the Oval Office, inserted a cigar into the vagina of a 21-year-old white house intern, ejaculated on her dress, and lied under oath.  This disgusting man, accused repeatedly of rape, having the moral turpitude of Sodomite, is the titular leader of a depraved party that first and foremost believes in the murder of unborn human beings while fighting proudly to save the life of the most heinous of murderers and rapists.

No, I don’t think Bill Clinton is a problem.

Tell Advertisers: Ross / Stephanopoulos / Producers Must Go

The Cape County Tea Party staged a Facebook Event asking Conservatives to watch the Saturday 7/28/12 edition of Good Morning America and track the advertisers hawking their wares during the show.  This was in response to the smear of the Tea Party orchestrated by Brian Ross as well as (obviously) George Stephanopoulos the show’s producers.

For some of us it was a painful experience — especially during the seemingly 3-hour segment on Dancing With The Stars.

We realize that most advertisers are simply buying a package, and don’t really concern themselves much about content of the programming.  However, if Ross / Stephanopoulos et al had smeared the homosexual community, there would certainly be a backlash and advertisers would be put on notice.  If the Democrat’s KKK was being advocated, their would be a powerful citizen response.

So, below is the list of advertisers that I was able to draw from the show that day.  Not surprisingly, I found it hard to remember to watch/focus on the commercials.

I urge you to find one advertiser with whom you do business.  Take 5 minutes to let them know that you don’t appreciate them supporting ABC, Ross, Stephanopolus, and their producers’ smear of the Tea Party.  The advertisers certainly wouldn’t stand for a smear on the homosexual community or advocacy of the Democrats’ KKK; why would they stand for a smear on the civic, patriotic, peaceful Tea Party movement with which 48% of their potential customers agree?

California Realtor Indoctrination Day

This Is Our Time!

This Is Our Moment!

We Can’t Do It Without You!

Join Us!

Does that sound like something out of the Obama Election Campaign or what?!?  The only thing that is missing is the ‘Yes We Can!’

The CAR (Calif. Association of Realtors) is hosting a legislative day up in Sacramento, CA on May 2nd. Only problem is there are ONLY liberal progressive legislators who have been asked to address the group.  See the flyer (pdf) below. I signed up for this event and wrote a scathing email. See below.  I plan on attending this event. I am calling on ALL conservative Realtors to attend this event and speak out against SB375 (stack and pack housing) and AB32 (Cap and Trade) and how this is destroying our liberties and private property rights. If you can’t attend please send an email to your local board or the CAR board! Do something please!!!! If you plan on going to SAC let me know so we can meet up when we get there.

http://assets.ccartoday.com/_pdfs/flyers/legday2012_flyer.pdf

Here’s an email I sent to the local Realtors board about the upcoming lobby day in Sacramento California, May 2nd. It would be nice if other realtors would speak out too!

“I am RSVPing for the lobby day in SAC. However I am a bit confused as to why there are NO conservative legislators that will be addressing us??? Every single one of these legislators is a liberal progressive. I am extremely disappointed to see that CAR and CCAR are so obviously biased! This is a disservice to your members! I for one am extremely offended that there is no balance in this meeting! As a realtor I pay huge dues to belong to the Realtors Association and this is NOT the kind of lobby day I would expect for my money! We realtors must be non-partisan or at least provided a balanced message.”

“I would like to see you invite some conservative members of the legislature to balance this day.”

(Above received via e-mail)

I’ll bet our writer won’t be receiving the CCAR Realtor of the Year award any time soon!

Typical Leftist Women’s Hypocrisy

Leftist women across the country are capitalizing on faux outrage against Rush Limbaugh for his comments about the discredited Sandra Fluke… …who somehow needs $3,000 per year for Contraception but doesn’t fit the adjective “promiscuous” …the definition for slut.

They ignore Bill Maher, Ed Shultz, and Keith Olbermann’s far more egregious verbal assault on Conservative Women such as Sarah Palin and Laura Ingraham.  But, say a few inappropriate words about poor Sandra Fluke (who is indeed prostituting herself to the leftist assault on religious freedom), and the bras are getting burned once again.

In today’s Southeast Missourian, the story describes two unnamed women’s groups that dropped petitions and toilet paper rolls at House Speaker Stephen Tilley’s office in protest of Rush Limbaugh.  The leftist state run Associated Press certainly wouldn’t want to name the groups, so real news reporters could follow up.

We all know this.  When the bust of Rush Limbaugh is placed among Missouri’s celebrities, we can count on leftist scum to deface it in the same way Occupy St. Louis defaced local landmarks.

But, what will they do with the bust of David Rice Atchison?

h/t house.mo.govAs typical with short-sighted liberal progs, they ignore the history of certain Missouri Hall of Fame members.

Atchison is best known for the claim that for one day (March 4, 1849) he may have been Acting President of the United States.”

But the larger part of his life was spent as a rabid,”prominent pro-slavery activist and Border Ruffian leader, deeply involved with violence against abolitionists and other free-staters during the ‘Bleeding Kansas‘ events.”

Of course, the Hall of Famous Missourians page for Atchison omits that part of the story.

“As a Senator, Atchison was a fervent advocate of slavery and territorial expansion. He supported the annexation of Texas and the U.S.-Mexican War. Atchison and Missouri’s other Senator, the venerable Thomas Hart Benton, became rivals and finally enemies. Benton declared himself to be against slavery in 1849, and in 1851 Atchison allied with the Whigs to defeat Benton for re-election.”

“Atchison proposed that the [Kansas/Nebraska] area be organized and that the section of the Missouri Compromise banning slavery there be repealed in favor of popular sovereignty, under which the settlers in each territory would decide themselves whether slavery would be allowed.”

“At Atchison’s request, Senator Stephen Douglas of Illinois introduced the Kansas-Nebraska Act, which embodied this idea, in November 1853. The Act became law in May 1854, establishing the Territories of Kansas and Nebraska.”

So ladies, where are the petitions and toilet paper bombs being delivered to decry the inclusion of this racist pro-slavery U.S. Senator in the Missouri Hall of Fame?  Where’s the outrage?

Well, Atchison is a Democrat, so we can count on your typical leftist double standard justifying his behavior because he’s on your side.  We’ll expect to see his bust being adorned with gardenias and roses while your thugs defecate on Rush’s.

How any reasonable Missourian can vote with the Democrat party and it’s advancement of Infanticide, Racism, Misogyny, Double Standards and it’s attacks at the very heart of the Constitution is beyond me.
